If you want the highest quality, most advanced motorcycle battery you can get, but think any of the aforementioned conditions might apply to you, check out AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries instead. my father in law has a 1100 shadow and he just had the rectifer changed due to the same type of problems.
